Mars GFSC Director Guangtao Zhang Joins Food Safety Matters to Discuss Critical Challenges in Food Safety

Dr. Guangtao Zhang, Director of the Mars Global Food Safety Center (GFSC), joined leading food safety podcast Food Safety Matters (Ep 117). hosted by editorial director for Food Safety Magazine, Adrienne Blume. In the episode Dr. Zhang discusses the critical role of food safety in protecting people and the supply chain. Sharing  examples of cutting-edge research projects, he spotlights the power of new technology in assuring  food safety including whole genome sequencing for microbial source tracking, and machine learning for rice authentication.

Dr. Zhang also reflects on his role not just as a research director but as an Associate living the Mars culture.
